orrisa administrative service syllabus and pattern will be almost similar to other state administrative services .

this exam will have two exams .

1.Preliminary exam :-

First Paper – General Studies
Second Paper – One subject to be selected from the following given Optional Subjects
Preliminary Examination Optional Subjects –Civil Engineering, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce & Accountancy, Agriculture, Management, Mathematics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Forestry, Fisheries Science, Law, Public Administration, Geography, Geology, Home Science, History, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology, Mechanical Engineering, Animal,  Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science & International Relations, Psychology, Anthropology,  Education, Agricultural Engineering

paper 1 will be of 150 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks .


syllabus for main exam :-

First Paper – Oriya Language (300 Marks)
Second Paper –English (300 Marks)
Third Paper – English Essay (200 Marks)
Fourth Paper –General Studies-I (300 Marks)
Fifth Paper – General Studies-II (300 Marks)
Sixth, Seventh, Eighth & Ninth Paper – any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below. Each subject will have two papers – 300 Marks for each paper
Main Examination Optional Subjects – Commerce & Accountancy, Fisheries Science, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Forestry, Geography, Geology, Home Science, History, Civil Engineering, Anthropology, Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Education, Botany, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science & International Relations, Public Administration, Psychology Sociology, Statistics, Zoology and Indian Language & Literature (any one) (a) Oriya, (b) Hindi, (c) Sanskrit, (d) English, (e) Persian, (f) Urdu,
